God Of War is getting a live-action series
We are hearing rumors and news coming from the press release by Sony confirms that we are going to get a live-action God of War Amazon Series, which will come on Amazon Prime Video.
Origin of The Series
In case you don’t know or you live under a rock and are hearing about the God of War name for the first time, then let me tell you this entire series will be based on one of the best-selling video game series of all time – God of War.
Story of God Of War Amazon Series
This series will majorly follow the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus to the highest peak of the mudguard to fulfill his late wife’s final request to spread her ashes from the highest peak.
In this journey how they overcome their obstacles and along the journey fight the Norse gods. Yes, we all know it’s Thor we are talking about. This all will be a live-action adaptation.
Now God of War franchise is big but the series will majorly focus on the last two parts of the video game, one released in 2018 and the other released this year God of War: Ragnarok.
GOW also bagged 6 awards in this year’s The Game Awards.
Who is going to write and produce this series?
The showrunner and executive producer of this series will be Rafe Judkins from the wheel of time.
The show writers will be Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, both of them worked on Iron Man and Children Of Men. Along with being the writer, they will be executive producers for the series as well.
The Amazon Studios’ head of global television Vernon Sanders said that
“The God OF War is a compelling character-driven franchise that we believe will captivate our global customers as much with its expansive and immersive worlds as its rich storytelling”.
“We are so proud and excited to be working with our friends at amazon studios and our partners at play station productions to adapt this beautiful and heartbreaking game into premium live-action series,” says Sony Pictures Television Studios president Katherine Pope.
